New Disney Cruise Ships 2011 - With Permission, Disney Cruise Line

Despite the economic turmoil of 2009, the cruise industry continued to grow. More than 13 million guests are forecast to have sailed in 2009, according to Cruise Lines International Association. CLIA forecasts a total of 14.3 million passengers to cruise in 2010. Looking forward, here are the new cruise ships for 2011.

Biggest Cruise Ships 2011

Disney Dream – Disney Cruise Line has estimated the launch of the Disney Dream on January 26, 2011. This will be Disney's largest cruise ship at 128,000 Gross Registered Tons (GRT), carrying 4,000 passengers. The Disney Dream will homeport from Port Canaveral, Florida offering a variety of cruises to the Bahamas once it is launched.

Carnival Magic – Carnival Cruise Lines will be launching its second Dream-class cruise ship in May 2011. The Dream-class is Carnival's largest class of ship at 130,000 GRT and carrying 3,690 passengers. The Carnival Magic will offer seven to 12-day cruises departing from Barcelona for the summer of 2011. Once the Carnival Magic is launched, Carnival Cruise Lines will have 23 cruise ships.
